HUNTSVILLE — On May 25, 2023, The Alabama School of Cyber Technology & Engineering will celebrate the graduation of its first graduating class on campus in the ASCTE Schola.
Although a small class of 17 students, ASCTE is proud to announce that these seniors have earned nearly
$3.6 million in merit-based scholarships and boast an average ACT score of 31. As the only school in the Nation focused on integrating cyber into the engineering lifecycle, each senior also completed a semester-long internship with Raytheon Technologies & Alabama SuperComputer.
“We are so incredibly proud and impressed with the hard work and dedication our students put into their academic endeavors,” stated Matt Massey, ASCTE President. “And while we know that we provide one of the most unique and rigorous academic programs in the nation, it is affirming to see our students clutch scholarships and college offers that reflect the breadth and depth of our academic program.”
The accomplishments of the Class of 2023 continue to pour in. From Pike Road, Alabama, Joshua
Ledlow is the school’s first National Merit Finalist and will matriculate to Georgetown University. Javen
Bies-Dupree, from Birmingham, AL, received an Academic Elite Scholarship to the University of Alabama–given to only 8 incoming freshmen. Collectively, the senior class earned approximately 35 college admission offers from across the country spanning the spectrum of selectivity.
“Our students continue to achieve high levels of academic and extracurricular achievement that provides an excellent foundation in the college admission process. We look forward to applauding them as they take these next steps in life” stated Sheri Crigger, ASCTE College Counselor.
ASCTE will hold its commencement exercises on May 25th at 6:00 p.m. The public and media are invited to attend.
