Anthony Bernard Hartsfield was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on November 21, 1963 to Lula P.

Bonner-Laster and Leon Hartsfield. He departed this life on Monday, March 17, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Willie L. Bonner, Sr. and Lillie R. Bonner; Jinks

Hartsfield, Sr. and Gussie Hartsfield. Sister: Zun Williams.

He received his formal education in Racine, Wisconsin and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1981 where he

received an honorable discharge in 1983. Anthony was a skilled laborer, last employment was in

construction in Louisville, Kentucky.

Anthony met no strangers and where ever you met him, you would be greeted with a big smile. He had

a vivid sense of humor displayed by an infectious smile which brought on laughter to those amongst

him. His appreciation of life was observed by many. He enjoyed watching basketball, football and

baseball but his passion was spending time with family and enjoying a soulful southern meal.

His love for his parents was never ending and as child and even into adulthood, he often spoke of his

upbringing and the importance of Family sticking together. Anthony quickly became known as a person

who loved life but more importantly, he loved the Lord, family and people in general. He will forever

be remembered for his gentle spirit, infectious smile, friendly and generous nature, and his

unconditional love for family and friends.

Anthony leaves to celebrate his life and cherish the precious memories: Loving and Devoted Parents:

Brothers: Leon Darryl Hartsfield, Racine, WI; Damon Cabell, Racine, WI and Christian Hartsfield,

Winchester, TN; Aunts: Bettie (Jesse L.) Simmons Sr, Cowan, TN; Phyllis H. (Earnest, Jr.) Lee,

Bellwood, IL, Audrey T. Fitzgerald, Cowan, TN; Brenda Y. (Frank) Brown, Decherd, TN; Deborah L.

(Edwin) Wamsley, Arlington, TX and Bobbie J. (Howard) Morrow, Cowan, TN; Uncles: Bishop Willie

L. (Verna) Bonner, Jr., Cowan, TN; David Q. Bonner, Sr., Winchester, TN; Raymond E. (Gloria)

Bonner, Murfreesboro, TN; Allen T. (Carmen) Bonner, Sr., San Diego, CA and George O. (Alva) Taylor,

St. George, Utah; Eleven (11) Nieces, Three (3) Nephews, Twenty-One (21) Great Nieces and Nephews

and a host of cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in the chapel of

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bishop Willie Lee Bonner, Jr, as the Eulogist. Visitation with the

family will be held from 11:00 a.m. to noon (12:00 p.m.) on Wednesday prior to the time of service.

Interment will follow in the Thorogood Cemetery in Cowan, TN
