On June 22, 2024, the sweet spirit of Annie Lee Perkins went to join our Savior in that home not build with hands, whose make and builder is God, our Father. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Nancy Tyler Jenkins and was born on April 11, 1926 in Gibson County. She departed from this life at Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a short illness.

She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful at Moore’s Chapel Missionary Baptist and First Christian Church. Later joining her membership at First United Methodist Church in Milan, Tennessee. In her Christian journey, she participated on the usher board, church choir while serving her community and witnessing the goodness of God. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and cook.

She was united in marriage to the late Raymond Perkins, Sr. for sixty-three years. To this union four children were born: late Raymond Perkins, Jr., late Larry Perkins (Darlene) Memphis, TN, Ann Odom (late John Odom) Milan, TN and Mark (Debra) Perkins, Milan, TN; 8 grand-children; 9 great-great

grandchildren; sisters, Viola People, Glencoe, Illinois; Anna Ball & Mildred Hart, North Chicago, Illinois., Robert Jenkins, Milan, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by two sisters: Minnie Bell (John – deceased), Sitka, TN and Mary Sue Chatman (Clifford – deceased), Milan, TN, four brothers: Joe Bill, James, William Dean and Jessie Jenkins.
