MUSCLE SHOALS-The award-winning documentary film, ‘Muscle Shoals’, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Since its release at Sundance in 2013, the Muscle Shoals Documentary has become a cultural touchstone, inspiring a new generation of musical artists and fans alike. The Muscle Shoals documentary film takes viewers on a musical journey through America’s most influential recording studios and features interviews with some of the music industry’s biggest stars.
To celebrate the film’s 10th anniversary milestone, visit The Shoals, the Muscle Shoals Music Association and the Muscle Shoals Music Foundation are teaming with the Historic Shoals Theatre on Friday, April 21st to hold a series of events including a VIP pre-party and cocktail reception with Filmmakers, a viewing of the documentary at the historic Shoals Theatre. Following the film will be a VIP ticket holder exclusive after-party Jam session at Pickett on Court featuring Grammy award winning artist Gary Nichols with a band of some of the Shoals hottest studio pickers. The limited gold and silver VIP weekend tickets are available now and include Friday night’s events as well as entry into Muscle Shoals Music’s VIP Experience area at the city of Muscle Shoals’ 100th Anniversary concert on Saturday, April 22nd. The VIP experience area at Saturday’s event will include concert VIP pit access, dedicated VIP entrance, , a “taste of the Shoals” food experience, unlimited soft drinks, VIP restroom trailer and private cash bar. 100% of the proceeds Friday’s event will be donated to the Muscle Shoals Music Association and the Muscle Shoals Music Foundation, who aim to keep the music industry alive and well here in our ‘small town with a big sound.’ This event is proudly presented by Visit The Shoals, AL.
