With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we remember Janice Kay Meacham Bisson, who passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at the age of 81.
Janice was born on August 12, 1944, in Clarksville, TN. She lived a life deeply rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family.
She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a grandmother whose hugs felt like home. To know Janice was to be known deeply. She cherished each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding joy in every moment spent with them. Her kindness was gentle and quiet, yet constant and unwavering.
Throughout her life, Janice found joy in time spent with family and friends, especially through her church and fellowship groups, including her beloved bunco gatherings. She faithfully served as a greeter at Lindsey Lane Baptist Church, participated in Sunday school, and rarely missed an opportunity to support her grandchildren in their many activities.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Don Bisson; her children, Mark Stanley and LeAnn Bisson Kremer; and her stepdaughter, Wendy Bisson Mitzel. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, CJ, Jessica and Stephen Stanley, Troy Mitzel, Lexi, Nathan, and Alaina Cook, and Noah and Violet Grace Bing, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her two great-grandchildren, Erika Aguilar and Joanie Perry, along with a community of friends, neighbors, and fellow believers who will carry her memory forward through quiet acts of kindness.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, John Russell Meacham Sr.; her mother, Bernice Roberta Meacham; her brother, John Russell Meacham Jr.; and her stepson, John Russell Bisson.
Janice placed her trust in the Lord as her Savior and held firmly to the promise of eternal life. Her family finds peace in knowing that she is now with Him in Heaven, and that they will see her again.
A memorial service to celebrate Janice’s life will be held at Laughlin Service Funeral Home Thursday, May 7th. Visitation for family and close friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 10:00 a.m.
