Imogene Ray, 88, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 at her residence. She was born in Lawrenceburg, TN to Robert and Beatrice Grissom Shannon. She was a housekeeper for the hotel industry for several years.
Graveside service will be Monday, April 20, 2026, 5:00 P.M. at Altar Baptist Church Cemetery, Golden, MS with Patrick Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Altar Baptist Church Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is a survived by two sons, Scott Stanphill and Jeff Stanphill (Delores); seven grandchildren, Crystal Owens, Jennifer Manns, Cole Glass, Gracie Stanphill, Ashley, Kayla and Tiffany and a host of great grands.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Ray; daughter, Debbie Glass; grandson, Justin Stanphill; siblings, Lavaughn Shannon, James Shannon, Johnny Shannon, Verna Bailey, Margie Johnson, Audine Slochum and Geraldine Perkins.
Pallbearers will be Carson Robinson, Eric Smith, Chris Stanphill and Jerry Reed.
