Alan Lee Curtis Sr, age 70 of Winchester, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. He was born on January 31, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Avril Lee and Shirley Jean (Coker) Curtis. He served his country in the United States Army, retiring from the Tennessee National Guard. Alan then worked in manufacturing and retired from Nissan. He enjoyed doing yard work, especially mowing, and traveling with his wife. He also enjoyed watching westerns. But most of all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren. Always happy, with a contagious sense of humor, Alan will be remembered for his good and loyal nature…he truly was a one in a million. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Huffman. Alan is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years, Cynthia Curtis; children, Casey Barnes and Alan (Deana) Curtis II; grandchildren, Scarlett Barnes, Calli Curtis, and Bella Curtis; brother, John Curtis; sister, Cindy (Greg) Young; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sherwood Cemetery.
