ARDMORE-Many of you are great supporters of Neighborhood Bridges-Ardmore and your support is invaluable. We held our first fundraiser last year and it was a great success. Old South Clays has graciously offered to host our dinner again this year and it is planned for Saturday, April 18th.
Neighborhood Bridges-Ardmore is part of our national 501(c)(3) charity. Our goal is simple. Neighborhood Bridges-Ardmore is an anonymous act of kindness to help those in need in our community. Our goal is to help eliminate barriers for children and their families so that they can engage and succeed in school and life. We partner with school counselors, school administrators, area directors, and school parent liaisons who identify specific needs of our children and families…then we engage the entire community in meeting these needs.
Neighborhood Bridges-Ardmore launched in September 2020 and because of the support from people and businesses in the community we have filled over 700 needs! Some of the needs we have met over the years have included paying school fees, lunchroom fees, field trip fees, graduation fees, and exam fees for students; helping families with medical and prescription needs; helping families with utility and living expenses; helping with clothing needs; helping with temporary housing; helping with home repairs; and helping with groceries for families and the elderly. We are a volunteer run program and 100% of what is donated to fill needs in our community…stays in our community. What I have found over the years is that after a family has been helped, many of them give back to help others after they have gotten through their time of need.
If you could donate an item to auction at the fundraising dinner, it would be greatly appreciated. Just let me know and we can make arrangements to pick up the item.
