Mr. John Thurman Henegar, Sr., age 86, of Scottsboro, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
Mr. Henegar was born to Roy and Veda Henegar on February 23, 1940 in Orme, Tennessee. He owned his own construction company for many years and loved racing.
Mr. Henegar is survived by his son, John (Sheila) Henegar, Jr.; daughters, Joanie (Jeremy) Woosley, and Jennifer (Doc) Smith; grandchildren, Taylor Seymour, Parker Henegar, James Seymour, Connor Smith and Elizabeth Smith; great grandchildren, Maddie Henegar, Presley Henegar, Hallie Seymour, Hudson Seymour and A.J. Seymour.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Veda Henegar; brother, Bud Henegar; sisters, Freda Boyett, and Leona Green; and grand daughter, Emily Joy Seymour.
A graveside Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, Alabama with Pastor Ryan Johnson officiating.
The family requests no flowers.
