Bro. Tommy Carpenter, 82, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice in Tupelo. He was born June 24,1943 to the late Walter Thomas Carpenter and the late Flora Streetmore Carpenter in Alabama. Bro. Tommy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and preached for over 50 years at various churches in and around Itawamba County. He enjoyed being outdoors, mowing his yard, watching birds, and just taking in the beauty of God’s creations. He especially loved spending time with his family, church family, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Humphres officiating. Burial will be in Tilden Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, April 6th at Senter Funeral Home.

Bro. Tommy is survived by his sons, Gary (Kim) Carpenter of Belmont, Thomas (Krickett) Carpenter, Jr. of Tremont, and Corey Carpenter of Fulton; daughters, Debra Harrelson of Fulton, Carolyn Thompson of Tremont, Wanda (Michael) Mauldin of Fulton, Shelia (Bo Russell) Dabbs of Hamilton, AL, Barbara Carpenter of Tremont, Amber Mauldin of Fulton, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life, May Belle Carpenter; parents, Walter and Flora Carpenter; daughter, Patricia Umfress; 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dallas Carpenter, Cody Riley, Corey Carpenter, Austin Carpenter, Gregory Neighbors, and Thomas Carpenter III.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tristan Shorter and Eric Carpenter.
