Mary Josephine Piper, age 87 of Jasper, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
Mrs. Piper was a longtime member of Jasper Church of God of Prophecy for over 50 years.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Studdard’s Crossroads. Leland Lowery and Frankie Miller will officiate.
Mrs. Piper was preceded in death by her Husband-Bobby G. Piper; Father-Carl Studdard; Mother-Dolly Studdard; Daughter-Vinita Courington; Brothers-Bobby Studdard and Leland Studdard; Sisters-Marne Herron, Lillian Jenkins and Florence Johnson; Grandsons-Jacob Piper and Cameron Piper.
She is survived by her Daughters-Regina (Charles) Hudson, Lisa (Barry) Gillott, and Melinda (Robert) Hutchison; Sons-Michael (Lorrie) Piper and Darrell (Sheila) Piper; Sister-Charlene Bynum; Brother-Phil Studdard; Grandchildren-Brandon Piper (Jeanette), Erik Piper (Amy), Lauren Crawford (Chris), Patrick Smith, Daniel Piper, Blake Hudson (Val), Nic Gillott (Elizabeth), Bethany Smith (Walker), Jeremy Piper (Hannah), Spencer Piper (Brittany), Marlee Hutchison (Luke Bray), and Becky Hutchison; 23 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Piper, Erik Piper, Daniel Piper, Nic Gillott, Patrick Smith, Jeremy Piper, Spencer Piper, and Blake Hudson.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Fisher Freeman.
