Mr. Michael Leonard Bratton Mike Bratton, age 70, of Hollywood, AL passed away on March 25, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Bratton, mother Kay Bratton, sister Carol Bratton, and father Leonard Bratton.

He is survived by his children Ben (Esther) Bratton, and Beth (Graham) Patterson; his grandchildren Charlotte, Margaret, Rob, and Gray; his siblings David (Donna)
Bratton, Susan (Butch) Bancroft, Donny (Sheila) Bratton, and Patty Bratton Key.

Mike grew up in Murfreesboro, TN and attended MTSU. He spent most of his career in the structural steel business, but his legacy will be remembered as a follower and lover of Christ Jesus. He was a servant and a leader.

Mike married his wife, Mary, on August 13, 1977. He loved her fervently and joyfully fulfilled his vows while caring for Mary through her 13 years of illness.

The family would like to especially thank Sandy Hines, Connie Bullock, Donna Cooper, Cheryl Gonzalez, and Joyce Burton for the compassionate and skilled care they have provided in the last eight months. You have been God’s gracious provision for Mike and Family. We thank you.

We would also like to thank Dr. Andrew Hodges for his compassionate and skilled care for Mike the last 9 months, faithfully showing what it means to be the hands and feet of the body of Christ. We are comforted knowing that Mike is reunited with his Saviour and his beloved wife, Mary. He was a weary traveler with his hope fixed on Christ, now at his journey’s end.

Praise to the God of grace!
O what a sure and glorious hope!
He all our strength and praise,
As we make our journey home.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in
weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Scottsboro, AL April 2, 2026 from 1to 3:00 P.M. with a memorial service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Turning Point Pregnancy Center would be appreciated. https://turningpointscottsboro.networkforgood.com/projects/50138-2018-support-donations
