Lori graduated from Walker High School in 1993. She attended Walker College for two years before earning her bachelor’s degree in special education from the University of Alabama. She dedicated 17 years to Jasper City Schools, where she touched the lives of hundreds of students with special needs, as well as those she guided through the gifted program.
Lori’s greatest joy in life was her two boys and their passions. Although illness sometimes kept her from attending every game, she supported them faithfully from home by organizing team meals and helping with logistics.
She cared deeply for their friends and invested herself in their lives. Anyone who knew Lori knew she was a devoted Alabama fan—no matter the sport and no matter the outcome. She was a true fan.
Lori was a lifelong member of Jasper’s First Baptist Church. It was there that she came to know Jesus as her Savior and was baptized. She grew up in the church’s youth group under John Jaye’s leadership, and her faith was nurtured and continued to grow throughout her life.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Jasper’s First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 71, Jasper, AL 35502.
