Jeffrey Alan Adcock, born December 20, 1956, passed away on January 18, 2026, on the farm where he was born—peacefully, held in the hands and presence of his wife and daughter, and ultimately in the hands of God.

Jeff was the son of Edward Allen Adcock and Angeline (King) Adcock and was a true country boy to his core. A farmer and home builder, he understood land, construction, and hard work in a way that could not be taught—only lived. Building was not merely his profession; it was who he was.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Brooks Adcock; his brother, Gregory Scott Adcock; his daughter, Tara Adcock Padilla (Luis); and his beloved grandson, Lucas Cole Whitt (Sierrah), whom he deeply adored.

Jeff passed surrounded by the voices of those he loved most, with voicemail and audio messages from friends and family playing as he transitioned. His suffering is now over, and those who knew him best would say he is already building in Heaven.

Jeff was unmistakably himself—strong-willed, old Southern, and honest to the bone. If he liked you, you knew it. If he did not, you knew that too. He showed his love in his own way, and those who earned his respect knew it was unwavering.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, 2320 Bob Wallace Ave, Huntsville, AL 35801, from 4 to 6 p.m., with the service beginning promptly at 6:00 p.m.

The family deeply appreciates the presence and support of the community during this time, as your attendance and kindness mean more than words can express in this season of loss.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Angels Foundation, in affiliation with Compassus Living Foundation, 3193 Boardwalk Dr., P.O. Box 5197, Saginaw MI 48603-2363 (https://compassuslivingfoundation.org/).
