Archie Clayton Bohanon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 27,2025, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was 74 years old.
Clayton was born on August 31,1951 and throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many with his kindness, humor, and love. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Rhonda Bohanon, and a loving father to his sons Jesse Bohanon, Jimmy Bohanon, Dustin Bohanon, and daughter Angela Adams Garcia(Bohanon). Clayton was also a proud father-in-law to Mary Elizabeth (Beth Bohanon), Miranda Jackson, and Candace Green.
His bond with his grandchildren was immeasurable, and his love for them was unmatched. Clayton held a special place in the hearts of his family and friends, always ready to offer support, wisdom, and laughter. He will be remembered as a man who made everyone feel valued and cherished.
Clayton was also deeply loved by his sister Rhona Adams and his brother Jonathan Hamric . He is loved and admired by his extended family, including his sister-in-laws Lisa Geckles, Sheila Mohon, and Deann Brawley, as well as his brother-in-laws Craig Geckles, Anthony Geckles, and Charlie Bigbee and William Bunkey Adams. His legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on in all who knew him.
He was a man of faith, and now, he rests in the arms of the Lord, reunited with those who have gone before him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Clayton’s life will be held at Guntersville Memorial Chapel on January 5,2025 @ 3pm to 5pm. All are welcome to attend and share in remembering the wonderful man he was.
