James Paul Comfort, 17, of Athens, passed away on Sunday, December 28th, 2025, at Children’s of Alabama. James was born on October 3rd, 2008, in Birmingham, to Lisa McLeroy.
Mr. Comfort is survived by his mother, Lisa Comfort; stepfather, Josh Sharit; brother, Jacob Epperson; sister Claire Epperson; grandmother, Bonnie White; grandfather, Mac White; aunt, Shelley Hollan; grandfather, Larry McLeroy; and grandmother, Linda McLeroy.
The graveside service for Mr. Comfort will be Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, at Roselawn Cemetery, at 12:00 p.m., with Neal Johnson officiating.
