Laura Melinda McDuffa, of Sheffield, Alabama, went to her eternal home on November 27, 2025.
Born on March 10, 1964, she was the daughter of Jackie and Laura McDuffa. She attended Russellville High School and NorthWest Shoals Community College.
A talented cook and manager, she brought much joy to many people at the frosty inn, when she wasn’t working she loved to watch her favorite tv shows. She loved to tell jokes and always kept us laughing. She was an avid animal lover and always made time for her pets as well as strays. She was a big Alabama fan and always cheered her favorite team.
Above all, Melinda was a daughter, mother, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her mother, Laura Mae Brewer McDuffa, son, Matthew McDuffa (Laura), daughter, Brittany McDuffa, brother, Michael McDuffa, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Jackie Burns McDuffa, and Grandparents William T. Brewer and Mae Dean Brewer.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 5th, 2025 at Spruce Pine Community Center in Spruce Pine, AL at 5:30pm. Please come and share your memories of her and let us all know how she affected your life.
