Guy Harold Simmons, 64, of Elkmont, Alabama, passed away on October 10th, 2026, at his residence. He was born on August 25th, 1962, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to Donald and Barbara (Prewitt) Simmons.
Guy attended Brooks High School and later enlisted in the Marine Corps, reaching the rank of Master Sargeant after twenty-two years. He then worked at the Limestone County Sheriff Office, retiring as Patrol Captain after eighteen years. In 1986, he married Michelle E. Hild, and together they built a life centered around his children and family. He will be remembered for being a leader, a mentor to other leaders, and a husband, father, and son. He was the calm in the midst of the storm.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Simmons; son, Troy Simmons; daughter, Katherine Warren; mother, Barbara Simmons; sister, Donna Nall; and brother, Jason Simmons. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Simmons.
A memorial service will be held Monday, October 19th, 2026, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, at 3:00 p.m.
