Mildred Lee Langston Lewis, age 98 of Fort Payne, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025. She was born on April 1, 1927 in Ringgold, Georgia to the late Raymond & Susie Nelson Langston. Mrs. Lewis worked in retail for Kennamer’s Mill End Store for several years. She volunteered at the hospital and helped with Meals on Wheels. She was a charter member of Asbury Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her children, Diane Childers, Patricia Pope (Eddie Joe), Teresa Pope (Michael), Rickey Lewis (Sheila); special daughter-in-law, Jeannie Farrell; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lewis; son, Michael Lewis; parents; brothers; Arvin Langston and Lloyd Langston; and son-in-law, Ronnie Childers.
