Lowell Perry Drummond age 91 of Athens passed away Sunday at his residence. Mr. Drummond was born August 22, 1934 in Walker County, Alabama. Mr. Drummond was a United States Air Force Veteran, retired from the federal government after thirty eight years, and later Gene’s Auto for twenty three years. Mr. Drummond was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Athens, Alabama.
Survivors include his wife of seventy three years, Bobbie Drummond of Athens. Daughters, Teresa (Randy) Rogers of Athens. Sheri (Scott) Haynes of Athens. Grandchildren, Ashley (Drew) Carter. Amanda (Luke) Satterfield and Caroline (Zack) Henry. Great Grandchildren, Ada, Elle, Lilli, Maris and Tate. Brother, Glenn Drummond of Huntsville. Sister, Vanell Drummond of Clanton, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ida Drummond.
Graveside services will be 3 pm Tuesday at Thatch & Mann Cemetery with Ron Oakley officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm at Spry Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
