Jeffie Rucker Jr.
December 4,1937 – October 23, 2025
Jeff, our sweet Daddy, went to be with his savior and lord Thursday October 23, 2025, at home with his family surrounding him. Born in Lancaster, Ohio on December 4, 1937, he was ever devoted and loved our mother, Beulah Faye, till she passed in 2015. He was the most loving Father to nine children: Nancy Dingler of Albertville, Richard Rucker of Albertville, Oneda Hallmark of Albertville, the late Jeffery David Rucker of Douglas, William (Tracey) Rucker of Boaz, Mary (Jerry) Dingler of Albertville, Roberta (Marc) Bush of Attalla, Bonita Blackwood of Boaz, and Emily Rucker of Albertville.
Jeff is known for the love he had for his Lord Jesus Christ, if he had a conversation with any person, he did not care what background, nationality, rich or poor, he was going to let them know how God changed and saved him. Although he never had an education, he built many homes for thousands of families as carpenter. He has read the bible front to back uncountable times. He would quote the word better than many scholars in the ministry. He was raised very poor in northern Kentucky with is Father and sisters and would walk many miles just to sing in church. He never failed to sing a song, and it brought him so much joy to sing with his sisters and his sweet Faye. On Sunday’s he was found on a pew praising, in a pulpit preaching, beside the piano singing, or in the corner praying. His legacy he left for everyone who knew his name is that you know Jesus and that you were loved by God and he wants you to join him there.
Jeff is joining in heaven his precious wife, Beaulah Fay, his parents Jeff and Vesta Rucker, Son Jeffery David Rucker, Grandson Carter Bush, Brother Doris Rucker, Sisters: Betty Cole, Ruth “bob” Skaggs, and Bonnie (“jo”) Stevens. Celebrating his life are his children, his 18 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and countless brothers and sisters in Christ.
We will have visitation at the Albertville Memorial Chapel October 26, 2025, from 5-7pm; Services will be on Monday October 27th at 2pm and we will lay him to rest at the Douglas Cemetery.
The Family would love to mention Honorary Pallbearer’s: his closest friends Johnny Taylor, Benny Anthony, Joe Maddox, and Tommy Fox. We want to give thanks to everyone who helped care for him including: Nicole and Trish of Gentiva Hospice. Todd Blackwood and Chad Blackwood for going above and beyond always there for our sweet daddy.
Arrangements are entrusted to Albertville Memorial Chapel.
