Hugh "Huey" Patrick Profile PhotoHugh “Huey” Patrick, a beloved husband, father, and friend, entered his heavenly home on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at his residence in Jackson, TN, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on July 13, 1959, in El Mirage, AZ, and he carried with him a passion for life that was evident in everything he did.

Huey’s work ethic began early, as he started working at the tender age of four at Beaver Dam Marina, on the Tennessee River, which was owned and operated by his mother. His time at the marina imbued him with a wealth of knowledge and experience across various tasks. In adulthood, he spent the majority of his career as an over-the-road truck driver with Nationwide Express and drove locally for Ryder Truck Lines, roles he embraced with dedication. After retirement, Huey remained active and contributed five more years at Latham’s Meat Company, showcasing his commitment to hard work alongside his wife Pat.

Huey’s love for music, particularly the legendary Elvis Presley, was a defining aspect of his life. His admiration for Elvis was so profound that he and his wife, Patricia “Pat” Patrick, exchanged vows in the Chapel in the Wood at Graceland, creating a bond that they cherished throughout their marriage. Every year, on their anniversary, they would return to Graceland for their personal tour, with Huey often proving to be a knowledgeable guide, far surpassing the official guides in trivia and history about the King of Rock and Roll.

As a high school graduate, Huey’s love for learning and exploration continued throughout his life. He shared many enjoyable moments on the open road with Pat, taking vacations that allowed him to pursue his passion for driving and discovering new places.

Huey is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia “Pat” Patrick; his son, Matthew Priya, and wife Anastasia; and his daughter, Amanda Patrick. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Virat and Davind Priya, along with his uncle, Paul Latham, and his mother-in-law, Shirley Latham. Huey is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends who will cherish their memories of him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael Phillip and Inez Marjorie Patrick; his brother, Howard Ray Patrick; his sister, Marjorie Faye Patrick; and his grandchild, Jonah Evans-Patrick.

A graveside service will be held in Camden, TN, at Benton Memorial Gardens, on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Chris Cooksey of Aldersgate Methodist Church officiating. This time will provide family and friends an opportunity to honor and celebrate Huey’s remarkable life. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
