Bryant Keith Petty Jr., age 29, departed this earthly life on September 18, 2025. He was born on June 19, 1996, to the late Bryant Sr. and Karen Petty.
Bryant graduated from Muscle Shoals High School in 2014 before earning an associate’s degree from NWSCC. He began his career with Norfolk Southern along side his father and later became a skilled journeyman millwright of the 1192 Local. His work took him across the country, and he embraced every moment, turning his travels into adventures.
Bryant’s greatest joy was being a father, a role in which his love and devotion shone brightest. He will be remembered for his laughter, quick wit, adventurous spirit, and his lasting impact on all he met, specifically his firm handshake.
He is survived by the love of his life and his devoted wife, Katlyn Petty; his beloved daughters, Penelope (5) and Paxleigh (1) Petty; his loving mother, Karen Petty; his brother, Davonte Petty; his niece, Jayla Petty; his grandmother, Annie Alexander; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Bryant Petty Sr.; his grandmother, Julia Mae Petty; and his grandfather, John D. Alexander.
Funeral Arrangements are forthcoming and will be announced later. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a man who will never be forgotten. Bryant believed in living life his own way—especially known for his laid-back dress code of mostly Auburn gear and Crocs at all times. In his spirit, please feel free to come in Auburn attire or whatever makes you comfortable, just as he would have wanted.
