Funeral services for David Webb, age 69, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, September 11 at the Broad Street Church of Christ with Gary Sorrels, P J Hardy and Larry Waymire officiating. Interment will follow at Beech River Cemetery with military honors.
David passed from this life on Monday, September the 8th, 2025. He was one of four children of Russell and Martha Belew Webb, born on the 30th of August 1956 in Pecos, Texas. He was a 1974 graduate of Lexington High School and immediately after graduating enlisted in the United States Air Force. After serving six years of active duty, David continued his service by serving in the Tennessee National Guard for an additional thirty-two years retiring as a Master Sergeant in 2015. Like all the men in the Webb family, David had a gift of being a great mechanic and was right at home in the garage while serving the National Guard, or in his own shop at home. After his retirement, David enjoyed watching his granddaughters play softball. Another hobby he took great pride in was mowing his property.
Survivors include his parents, Russell and Martha Belew Webb, his wife of seventeen years, Brenda Maness Webb; his only child Melissa Brown and her husband Kelcey; two sisters, Anita (Larry) Mullins and Janet (Steve) Threadgill; two step daughters Latricia (Todd) Worsham and Felicia Rhodes; a step son, Larry (Theresa) Churchwell. David was blessed with three grandchildren, Brylie, Kennedy and Kyrsten Brown; seven step grandchildren: Madison Harrison, Kristi Riner, Ally Hickman, Lily, Abby and Caroline Churchwell and Chloe Forsythe; three step great grandchildren: Oaklynn Harrison and Harper and Charlie Riner. In addition there are six nieces and nephews: Terry (Tiffany) Webb, Jennifer (Dean) Stovall, Reid (Cassie) Mullins, Rob McDaniel, Shonda (Tyler) Landrum and Stephanie (Billy) Bell along with seven great nieces and nephews.
The Webb family will receive friends from 2:00 – 9:00 PM Wednesday at Pafford Funeral Home and Thursday at the Broad Street Church of Christ from 10:00 AM until the time of service. David’s wish was that any tribute be made in the form of a charitable donation, preferably to the Kirkland Cancer Center in Jackson, TN or the American Cancer Society.
