Betty Mae Sharp Arnold, age 88, of Florence, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Visitation will be on Monday, August 17th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be on Tuesday, August 18th, at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Raymond Sharp and Brother Greg Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at Rhodesville United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene McDougal, Randy Webb, Junior Gean, Wayne Sharp, Brian Sharp, and James Sharp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Arnold, Jr.; parents, Hubert and Beadie Mae Sharp; brothers, W.C, Jack, Bill, and Tiny Sharp; sisters, Virginia Wallace and Corrine South.
Survivors are her daughters, Diane Quick, Pam Pruitt, and Kay Pruitt (Chris); son, Steve Arnold (Karen); sister, Sarah Smith of Roanoke, Virginia; grandchildren, Becky Brooks (Alton), Erica Mcphearson (BJ), Tommy Pruitt (Ladonna), Michaela Pruitt, Melanie Henry (Caleb), Alexandria Pruitt, Alicia Shultz (Brian), Matthew Mansell, and Dylan Williams (Abigail); great-grandchildren, Abagail Brooks, Alli Mcphearson, Emma Pruitt, Judah Pruitt, Waylon Pruitt, Harper Henry, Ashlyn Terry, Brittan Terry, Kenslee Weldon, Abbie Kirby, Isaac Kirby, Zachary Shultz, Haley Shultz, Rowen Mansell, Wryn Mansell, and Kendall Smith.
A special thanks to the staff at Keller Landing especially her nurses, Morgan, Dylan, and her CNAs Joleen, Cara, Makayla, Kala, Ambree, and Amerria. Also a special thanks to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice especially her nurse Amanda Stanfield and Faith Stanfield for their love and care.
She was a seamstress, loved quilting, cooking, gardening, and flowers. She also enjoyed the outdoors where she loved to fish and watch birds.
