Bobby Gene Vaughn, age 79, of Killen, AL passed away on September 1, 2025. Bobby was born July 26, 1946, in Russellville, AL. He was the son of Joe and Willie Vaughn.
He graduated from Russellville High School in 1964 and then went on to the University of North Alabama. Bobby served several area schools as a teacher and football coach until his retirement. He was an avid sportsman. He had a second career as a field dog trainer and won a National Championship in 1971. Many bird dog owners sought his training expertise. He had many clients across the United States and also in Canada.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Willie Vaughn, and his sister, Betty Jo Tirey. He is survived by his sisters, Helen Benson, Linda Parmer (Calvin); special nephew, Joe Benson (Kathy), as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at Franklin Memory Gardens in Russellville, Alabama on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 A.M.
