Gary “Doogle” McGaughy, age 67 of Jasper, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 at his residence. He was born August 21, 1957. Gary was a great husband, father, and friend. He was hard working and quick witted. Gary loved to build and paint cars. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Levi Sides will officiate. Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jackie McGaughy; sons, Jared (Megan) McGaughy and Brandon McGaughy; granddaughters, Kynlie McGaughy and Alyssa McGaughy; grandson, Parker McGaughy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emoise and Dean McGaughy; brother, Jerry McGaughy.
