Marion “Willie” Dudley Williams, 91 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, August 17th, 2025, at his residence. Mr. Williams was born on October 18th, 1933, in Leake County, Mississippi, to Albert and Aline Hardy Williams.
Mr. Williams is survived by his loving family, including his wife Shirley Williams, sons Newton Williams (Monica) and Franklin Williams (Lisa), granddaughters Elizabeth Greenwood (Dillon), Samantha Turner (Will), and Tabitha Doss (Jackson), and brother Donald Williams (Jorene).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Aline Hardy Williams, and brothers Sidney Williams and David Williams.
A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Williams’ life will be Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, at 2:00pm, at First Methodist Church. Friends and family are invited to gather before the service at 1:00pm for a visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mr. Williams’ memory to Hospice of Limestone County or First Methodist Church.
