Myra Ann ChildressMyra Ann Childress, age 66, of Albertville, passed away on August 11, 2025. She was born on December 7, 1958. Myra cherished time spent with her family and enjoyed relaxing with her favorite soap operas.
She is survived by her daughter, LeeAnn (Adam) Snider; son, Scottie (Stacey) Childress; grandchildren, Brandon Parr, Marlee Durham, and Maddy Durham; sister and special caregiver, Debi Ledbetter; brothers, Jeff Turner and Danny Kelley; sisters-in-law, Teresa (Willie) Orr and Sheree Childress; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Orval Childress; father, Raymond Kelley; mother and daddy, Doris (Arlon) Turner; brothers, Tony Turner, Ricky Kelley, and Jeff Kelley; sister, Teresa Kelley Buroughs; in-laws, Dewey and Veneeda Childress; and brother-in-law, Ricky Childress.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home with Bro. Marshall Bearden officiating. Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Her family and friends would like to give a special thanks to her hospice care team—Jolene, Michelle, Terry, Ashley, Jessica, Randy, Lindsey, Lynn, Selena, Amy, Malori, and Victoria—and the nurses and staff at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice for their kindness and compassionate care.
Pallbearers will include Scottie Childress, Brandon Parr, Adam Snider, Jeff Turner, Jeremy Turner, and Juan Decossio; honorary pallbearers, Morgan Henry and Chris Raulerson.
