Michael Anthony Wilbanks, 58, of Fort Payne, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025. He was born in Fort Payne on February 7, 1967 to the late Kenneth Floyd Wilbanks and Annie Mae Young Wilbanks. He was musically talented and loved to both play and collect music – his guitar was his favorite.
Michael Anthony Wilbanks, 58, of Fort Payne, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025. He was born in Fort Payne on February 7, 1967 to the late Kenneth Floyd Wilbanks and Annie Mae Young Wilbanks. He was musically talented and loved to both play and collect music – his guitar was his favorite.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Fischer Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant a tree somewhere in Michael’s memory.
He is survived by his wife Sue Wilbanks; sister Roberta Ramsey; brothers Johnny Wilbanks and Tim Wilbanks (Donna); several nieces and nephews; and his cats Geezer, Dude, Twinkie, Rowena, and Fifi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his nephew Eric Wilbanks, and his brother-in-law Herschel Ramsey.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
