James Edison Haney age 87 of Elkmont passed away Saturday at his residence. Mr. Haney was born July 7, 1938 in Limestone County, retired from Delphi, United States Army Veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Athens. Services will be 2 pm Thursday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Cody Dunnavant, Donald Terry and Jim Haney officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 pm until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Pallbearers will be Randy Adam McCurry, Hunter Levi McCurry, Dylan Carter, Bradley Dunnavant, Jonathan Sims and Stanley Hill. Honorary pallbearer will be Justin Lovell. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Eugenia Haney of Elkmont. Son, Jim Haney of Elkmont. Daughters, Rhonda (Lisa) Williams of Athens, Teresa (Darrell) Haggermaker of Elkmont. Jessica Sue (Roger) Dunnavant of Athens. Grandchildren, Adam McCurry, Amanda Hutto, Beth Dunnavant, Kristin Hill, Bradley Dunnavant and Cody Dunnavant. Six Great Grandchildren. Brother, Cloyd Haney of Ardmore, Alabama. Several Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by his Parents, John & Jesse Haney, and by six Brothers and two Sisters.
