Mary Alice Beer, 79, of Dothan, AL. Her sunrise was January 20, 1946, in Jackson County, FL, and
her sunset was July 13, 2025, in Athens, AL.
She is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Wiley Wright and Ora Kirkland Wright.
She is survived by her former husband and lifelong friend Lavern Beer of Athens, AL, daughter
Patricia Beer White of Rogersville, AL, son Matthew (Brenda) Beer of Clearwater, FL. Her
grandchildren Nicholas (Taylor) Isaacson of Concord, NC, Kyle (Nena) Beer of Rogersville, AL,
Nicole (Skylar) Feltman of Fayetteville, TN and her great- grandchildren Evelyn Feltman, Nellie
Feltman, and Kolten Beer.
Mary grew up on a small farm in Slocomb, AL. She had 9 siblings, all but one are deceased. She
loved her church New Hinson Baptist Church in Slocomb, AL. She adored her beloved dog
Zoey, and dedicated her all to Zoey. She loved the beach and the sunsets, she enjoyed
spending time with her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her relationship
with the Lord meant everything to her. She traveled all over the country in her lifetime,
making an abundance of memories. Mary Alice Beer lived a full and beautiful life and her
physical presence on this earth will be deeply missed.
May she come back to us in a breeze of the wind, a cloud shaped just right, or maybe a bird on
a windowsill. Something to remind all who loved her of her presence.
