Lawrence Dean Nelms Lawrence Dean Nelms passed away peacefully at his residence on June 11, 2025.

He was born August 2, 1938 on Obion County, TN to L.D. Nelms and Alice Cornelia Briggs Nelms.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary Lee Arant Nelms; son, Roger Steven Nelms, and his brother, Kenneth Brown Nelms.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Parker Nelms; son, Kevin Dean Nelms (Stacey); step-daughter, Jill Key Hardesty; step-son, Sean Key; five grandchildren, Clayton Dean Nelms, Kayley Key, Kade Key, Lilly Key, John Ross Key; one great grandson, Berkley Dean Nelms; one sister, Linda Nelms Ware (Don); one niece, and three nephews.

He was a godly msn, a Bible scholar, Bible teacher, wonderful husband, father, step-father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He was highly regarded and loved by those who knew him.

The family will hold a Visitation at Shelton Funeral Home on June 13, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00PM in the Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held at a later day and time at Obion County Memorial Gardens in Union City, Tennessee.
