Ms. Linda Jo Prestwood Wells, age 80, of Fort Payne, Alabama, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Linda Wells was born in Fort Payne, Alabama, on September 2, 1944, to parents Rueben and Versie (Cushen) Prestwood. Linda graduated from Plainview High School in 1962, and owned Sand Mountain Printing Company (1968 -1982) in Rainsville, AL and later, she worked as an Insurance Adjuster in Fort Worth, TX.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Rueben and Versie Prestwood of Fort Payne.
Linda is survived by her two sons, Barry Wells (Megan Kelley) of Fort Worth, TX and Jonathan Wells of Scottsboro, AL, and one grandson, Colin Wells of North Dartmouth, MA.
Visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home of Fort Payne on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 29th at Wilson Funeral Home and Linda will be laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery following the service.
