Ella Kaye Payne, 67, of Florence, Alabama, passed away on February 15, 2025, in Tyler, Texas.
Born October 17, 1957, in Pikeville, Kentucky, Kaye spent most of her life as a cherished resident of Florence. She enjoyed a fulfilling career at Lowe’s Home Improvement until her retirement, where her dedication and warm personality left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.
Kaye had a deep passion for the outdoors, finding joy in hiking, camping, and exploring nature trails. Her love for adventure and the natural world was evident in how she spent her free time, often discovering new paths and sharing her enthusiasm with others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Mary Damron. She is survived by her sister, Elaine Fisher; her niece, Shelley Pierce; her four children, Sheila Jones, Sarah DeLeon, Matthew DeLeon, and Jesse Payne; and seven beloved grandchildren.
