Delorese “Tootsie” Jean Watkins,71, of Florence, passed away, Sunday, February 23, 2025.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 12:00PM at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral will immediately follow with Rodney Shewbert officiating. Interment will be at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery.
Tootsie was funny with a big heart. She was a mom to many and always helped others in need. She always put others first. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her love of family and friends, music, dancing, and being a bit fussy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Reba and Hoyt Price; daughter, Renee Austin; grandson, Manly Riddle; sisters, Marlene Troy, Edith Hallmark, Laura Gooch, Barbara Reeves, and Shelia Kay Ogle; brothers, Jimmy Castle and Bill Castle.
She is survived by her children, Katrina Dillard and Jerry Watkins Jr,
grandchildren, Isaac Dillard, Lakien Dillard, Taylor Watkins and Chloe Watkins; brothers, Mickey Price, Dennie Price, and Ronald Frazier; sisters, Charlene Campbell, Loretta Johnson, and Deborah Berry; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Allen, Jonathan Glaze, Ryan James, Isaac Dillard, Daniel Price, and Christian Armstrong. Honorary pallbearer will be Taylor Watkins.
The family would like to thank Affinity Hospice, especially Lindsey Rideout and Katie Holt. Also a special thanks to Lindsay Watkins for taking care of her during her sickness.
