Rev. Roy “Edward” Harbin, 79, of Paint Rock Valley, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, February 6th, 2025.
Edward loved the Lord and served Him as a lead pastor for over fifty years, including seven years at Trenton Baptist Church and forty-six years with Mount Ararat Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband, beloved father, grandfather “Pop”, and friend, who will be missed dearly by all.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Schuelke officiating. Burial will follow at Flanagan Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Edward is survived by his wife, Cherry Frazier Harbin; daughter, Melody Washburn (Darryl); son, Timothy Harbin; grandchildren, Michelle Grey (Tim) and Ashley Johnson (Dallis); sisters, Erma Askew and Annie Mae Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Harbin; mother, Nellie Houk Harbin; and brothers, Roy “Kenneth” Harbin, Billy “Bill” Harbin, Lester “Eugene” Harbin, and James “David” Harbin.
