Rebecca Frances Richey, 97, of Florence, passed away February 6, 2025. Visitation will be Monday, February 10 at Williams Funeral Home from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. The service will start at 2:00 pm with Brother Henry Melton officiating and burial following in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Eugene Edward Richey; parents, Myrtle and Marvin Richey; son, Jerry Lynn McCullum (Teresa); daughter, Rebecca Marquetta Jordan (Dwight); brother, “Jr.” Richey.
Mrs. Richey is survived by her children Jimmy Glenn McCullum (Pam) and Michael Eugene Richey; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Richey enjoyed water aerobics at the local YMCA. She was a lifelong member of Faith Tabernacle Church. A devoted Christian, she dedicated her life to the Lord. Her deep love for her family was evident, and she took great pride in each of them.
Serving as pallbearers are Tanner Wade, Bryce Wade, Matt Jordan, Aaron Emmons, Clay Weaver, and Hunter Thorp. Honorary pallbearers are great-grandsons and great-great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Huntington’s Disease Association.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Frances sitters, Denise Thomas, Allison Heglar, Angel Lynn, and Savanna Liles. You brought new light into her life after Papaw passed. May God bless each of you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
