It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael Shane Berry, on December 9, 2024, at the age of 44. Michael was born on October 26, 1980, in Florence, Alabama.
Shane is preceded in death by his mother, Sheryl Dodge; father, William Leech; grandparents, James (Shirley) Roe, Peggy (LC) Sizemore; great uncle, Robert Nicholas; uncle, Robert Roe; and nephew, Quinton Cox.
Shane is survived by his stepfather, Rick Dodge; sisters, LaShanna Roe (Harold), Janaye Creecy, and Jessica Jenkins; aunts, Ann Jairam and Rhonda (Terry) McGregor; great-aunt, Patti Nicholas; uncle, Anthony Sizemore (Kaye); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Michael’s love was the outdoors. He loved to camp and fish. He could stay on the riverbank for hours just enjoying the serenity of nature.
There will be a private family memorial service.
