Mrs. Sandra White Anderson, age 77, of Dutton, Alabama, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. Sandra was a registered nurse and was the First school nurse for Jackson County. She was a cat lover, enjoyed collecting cookbooks, loved thrift store shopping, lighthouses, fried apricot pies, visiting the Dutton Library, and spending time with her great nieces and nephews. Their visits and the time spent with them always kept her laughing. She attended any of their school and sporting events that she could. She also enjoyed visiting and learning about the local Mennonite community. She was a member of Guest Baptist Church in Fyffe.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Anderson; Brother, Michael White; special nieces, Valerie Tatum (Stuart Dawson) and Emily Anderson (Ty); great niece and nephews, Harlee Tatum, Cooper Tatum, Jackson Tatum and Bo Anderson; step children, Frances Lea (Ronald) and Roland Anderson (Linda) and several step grandchildren and great step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Virginia White; Brother Stanley White.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Davis and Rev. Josh Little officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home.
