Margaret E. Durham Margaret E. Durham passed away peacefully at her home on March 9, 2024. Margaret was born on July 10, 1930 in Fort Payne, Alabama to the late Rev. Dow and Mertie Edwards. After marrying Roswell B. Durham, Margaret moved to Panama City, Florida where she taught school for 26 years. Upon retiring, she moved back to Fort Payne. Margaret was a very faithful member of Second Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister Gail E. Pollock of Montgomery, two nieces Kim Stough and Teresa Musso, and assortment of very loved great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, as well as close friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Dow and Mertie Edwards, husband Roswell B. Durham, sisters Reba Phillips and Imogene Wright.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home of Fort Payne with Rev. Will Ramage officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.

The family wishes to thank all of the very faithful and dedicated caregivers that cared for Margaret during her later years.

Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
