Susan Diane Holder Elliott, age 62 of Estill Springs, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama on June 30, 1961. A devoted homemaker, she was a wonderful cook and was known for her green thumb as tending to her garden. Susan delighted in making Christmas “big” for those around her and cherished the times spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren. A strong woman who fought hard to beat cancer, she always made sure to attend the MCCSN walk-a-thon and had taken many laps as a survivor. Susan’s family and friends will remember her as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Those who preceded her in death include parents, Clarence Holder and Daisy Musser, and Nora and Joe Caesar; and granddaughter, Victoria Grace Elliott. Susan is survived by her loving husband of forty-six happy years, Bobby Elliott; children, Amanda (Richard) Phillips, Jason (Amanda Nicole) Elliott, and Derek Elliott; grandchildren, Anna Phillips, Destiny Phillips, Jillian Elliott (fiancée, Riley Crabtree), Kailee Elliott, and Brandon Robinson; siblings, Danny Holder, Deborah Holder, Donna (Darrell) Elliott, and Kelly (Daryl) Adams; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Philip McAbee officiating. Interment will follow at New Center Grove Cemetery. Special thanks to her sister, Donna Elliott, for helping take care of Susan.
