Mrs. Monica Fay Glover Ms. Monica Glover was born Monica Fay Timmons on October 12, 1961 to Joe L. Timmons Jr. and Betty McCurdy Timmons. She drifted into eternal sleep on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by her family.

Monica confessed hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of the Madkin’s Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church of America    under the leadership of the late Revered Robert L. Blackburn. In her later years, she accepted her calling into ministry under the guidance of the late Reverend Endia J. Scruggs. As she sought for spiritual growth, she later joined Liberty Christian Faith Center under the leadership of the late Pastor James Robinson.

Monica Fay married George “Milton” Glover, who preceded her in death. To their union, two children were born. She was a Manager for Toys R Us for 17 years before she ventured into self-employment in home health. She later went back into the workforce where she worked for Walgreens Company until her passing.

Her love for Christ was exemplary in her everyday life. She was a devout Christian and was known for her commitment to ministering and spreading the love of Jesus. She was also gifted in the spirit of prophecy and her faith was unwavering. She was a prayer warrior, partner, and adviser for many.  She also had a gift and a passion for poetry and writing.

She was a giver and could often be found pouring into others even before herself. She was the true definition of selflessness. She loved spending time with her family and often made it obvious how proud she was of her children and grandchildren. She recently became a great-grandmother which also brought her an abundance of joy.

In her current life, Monica was employed by Walgreens Company or “The Greens” as she called it, where she also enjoyed interacting with and getting to know frequent shoppers. Many would go into the store just to see her or get a word of encouragement. She often spent her spare time doing what she loved to do, helping others with various acts of service.

She was kindhearted by nature, she led by example and was a promoter of truth. Her counsel was wise, she was no nonsense and would always speak the truth in love. Her untimely transition from this earthly realm leaves abysmal pain etched in the hearts of her children, family and all those, whose lives she touched.

Preceded in death by her parents Mr. Joe L. Timmons Jr., and Betty Timmons. Grandparents: Mr. Joe L. Timmons Sr., and Florine Timmons. Mr. Oscar McCurdy and Bettye Hampton McCurdy. One sister-in-law, Mrs. Deborah Douglas.

Monica leaves to cherish her precious memories her devoted children: one daughter Sanita Glover of Harvest, AL and one son, Ryan (Seqoyia) Glover of Huntsville, AL; three sisters: Renita (Jimmy) Parks, Sarita Timmons both of Huntsville, AL and Janice (James) Williams of Athens, AL; two brothers: Percy Douglas and Jimmy Lee (Rosalind) Douglas of Harvest, AL; three grandchildren: Unique (Trey) Allison of Decatur, AL, Ryan Jr., and Jasmine Glover, both of Birmingham, AL; one great-great granddaughter, Layla Allison of Decatur, AL. She also leaves her memories to cherish with one grandson Bryant Call and his parents. She will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
