She was united in marriage to O.H. ” Shorty” Freeland on June 26, 1949. Mr. Freeland preceded her in death on December 30, 2014.

Ann’s unwavering faith was reflected in her role at First United Methodist Church in Adamsville as treasurer for over 17 years and as a member of the Red Hat Society.

Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, Ann found joy in simple pleasures like baking for loved ones, engaging in friendly games of bridge, nurturing her garden, and passionately cheering on Tennessee sports – always supporting her beloved Vols!

On February 18, 2024, at the age of 94 Years, 7 Months, and 16 Days, Mrs. Freeland peacefully passed away in Franklin, Tennessee. She is fondly remembered by her surviving children: Terri Wood (Bob) of Mobile, AL; Jana Davis (Tim) of Topeka, KS; Ted Freeland (Sherry) of Spring Hill, TN; grandchildren: Jill Talbert (Daniel) of Nashville, TN, Brian Wood of Lee’s Summit, MO; Laura Dilworth (Evan) of Knoxville, TN; Barrett Davis of West Lafayette, IN; Parker Davis of Philadelphia, PA; Grayson Davis of Blacksburg VA; four great-grandchildren: Audrey and Foster Talbert; Bennett and Kate Dilworth.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Fountains of Franklin and Accent Care Hospice for their dedicated support. Ann will forever be cherished and remembered for her kindness and love that she shared abundantly with everyone around her.
