Amy Renee Bower passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at her home. She was born and raised in Illinois and had moved to the south about 10 years ago. Amy enjoyed NHRA Drag Racing and spent many hours at the Rockford Speedway. She loved Mickey Mouse and crocheting and having her feline companion close by. Most of all she adored her granddaughter Oaklee. Amy was also a member of Ashland First Assembly of God and the family is forever grateful for their help.
Amy is survived by her daughter, Mckennzee Higgins (Ashton); her granddaughter, Oaklee; one son; her mother, Laurie Samples; one brother, Danny Bower; special friend Kenny and several aunts, uncles and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Bower and Papaw Randy.
A memorial service is being planned for later this week and details we be shared soon.
