James A. Ramsey, 74, passed away peacefully Monday, July 31, 2023, at his home, just one day short of his 75th birthday. He was born on August 1, 1948, in Phillips County, AR to James Windham and Virginia Sue Biggs Ramsey. In his younger years he enjoyed riding in horse shows. James was a hard worker and took much pride in his work. He enjoyed building, his dogs, making wind chimes, and working on vehicles. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
James is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Crouch Ramsey; his daughter, Stephanie Ramsey; his son, Stephen Ramsey; and his sister, Margaret Mosley.
He was preceded in death by his father, James W. Ramsey and his mother, Virginia Biggs Ramsey Wheeler.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with family friend Stan Kuykendall officiating. Visitation will begin at 12PM and continue to service time. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
