Cheryl Ethridge Whittle, 78, of Fort Payne, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023. Mrs. Whittle was a lifelong Episcopalian. She and her late husband, Jerry, owned and operated The DeKalb Advertiser newspaper in Fort Payne for many years.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 16th at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her son Christopher Stehle and wife Diane Turner; step-children Kim Whittle and Scott Whittle; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Whittle and her parents Rev. Forrest Ethridge and Evelyn Ethridge.
