Mary Morse Simms, 93, of Huntsville, passed away on April 12, 2023. Mary is survived by her husband of 72 years, Donald Russell Simms, Sr.; her children, Diana Styles (James), Linda Osmer and David Simms (Jennifer); 11 grandchildren, Mary Steakley, Donald Simms, Cori Chase, Elizabeth Key, Charlotte Johansson, Patrick Osmer, Rachel Matheny, John Simms, William Simms, Jesse Simms and Abigail Simms; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her son, Donald Simms Jr.; her parents, William and Ruth Morse; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Mary was born November 16, 1929, in Reddick, Illinois. She spent her life serving and encouraging others. Mary deeply loved the Lord and her church, serving as an elder and teacher. Her family was her greatest joy. Mary was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a joyful and supportive grandmother and great grandmother.
A celebration of life service will be held on April 22, 2023, at 2:00pm at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 301 Drake Avenue Huntsville, Alabama 35802.
