Milas James Norwood, 69 of Athens, passed away on Monday, March 6th, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Norwood was born on November 22nd, 1953, in Athens, to Lilburn and Ruby Martin Norwood.
Mr. Norwood is survived by his wife Nancy Johnson Norwood; daughters Michelle Clinard (Jeff) and Amanda Guy; son Brandon Norwood (Allison); siblings Doug Norwood, Joel Norwood, Nelda Wooten, and Norma Rogers; and 7 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister JoAnn Smith.
A graveside service for Mr. Norwood will be Wednesday, March 8th, 2023, at 11:30am at Fairview Cemetery, with Randy Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00-11:00am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jeff Clinard, Ben Clinard, Dwight Bolin, Nathan Clinard, David Johnson, and Riley Brosch. Honorary pallbearers will be Byron Guy, Everett Norwood, Gracie Brosch, and Anniston Norwood.
