Jeremiah Richard Oliver Johnson Sr was born April 3, 1982 to Jerry and Emily “Susie” Johnson. Growing up in Ohatchee, he attended school and played football. Known locally for his charm and sharp mind, Jeremiah had an exceptionally high IQ and a rare gift of working with his hands. He could master, fix, and speed up anything within minutes. Stepping into the fast life early on, Jeremiah embraced the spotlight, numb to all in the early 2000’s as “Fluff”, his name commanded. As his reputation grew, the resulting scrutiny eventually cost him his freedom, and though he wrestled with personal demons, he kept his distance from those he loved most to protect his children from the hardships of his choices.
In May 2021, Jeremiah survived a major brain aneurysm and stroke, and defying the odds, he courageously relearned how to walk with a cane and speak key words. Tragically, on September 25 at approximately 8:37 p.m. Jeremiah died in a pedestrian accident in Anniston. Jeremiah was a deeply loved father, son, brother and friend.
Jeremiah was preceded in death by his grandmother, Garnet Sue “Mama Sue” Smith; his parents, Jerry and Emily “Susie” Johnson; his brother, Jason Johnson; and his brother in life, Roger Evans. He is survived by his brothers, Emmett and Adam Johnson; his sister, Stacey Coley; his five ex-wives, Brandi, Kimberly, Janice, Miranda, and Mandi; his 13 children including Alyssa, Dalona, Jeremiah, Jacob, Jayse, Jayden, Jordan, Sarah, Cheyenne, and four others; three grandchildren, and many aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
A funeral service for Jeremiah will be held Friday, October 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at The Magnolia House at Cremation Services of East Alabama, located at 733 White Plains Road, Anniston, AL. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Though he will be deeply missed, Jeremiah’s family takes great comfort in knowing his struggle is over and that Roger and Fluff are reunited in peace and riding tight together again.
